Chanel Resort 2013
In a private fountain filled garden in Versailles, France, Karl Langerfeld's models showed his new Chanel Resort 2013 collection. Inspired by a era of Marie Antoinette, this collection was made modern styled with metallic creepers, sheer fabrications, short skirt lengths and a sense of androgyny.
Models had a sharp short androgynous bob, block eyebrows and a wash of pastel over the eye. To make it any more Marie-Antoinette inspired, cute little Chanel decals sat on the face as a kind of beautyspot-inspired look.

Manning Cartell MBFWA
Loving the coral pink color that seemed to pop up in everyone's collections at MBFWA. Love Manning Cartell's black and white print mixed with the coral trimming and enhanced by pairing it with coral heels. Hoping these heels are by Manning Cartell and will be in stores next summer.
However slight criticism, unless you are a twig or work out for hours everyday doing hundreds of stomach crunches, I don't think many women will be buying the mid-drifts. It may look good on the runway but on real women mostly it would be a disaster.
As a whole, the collection was a bit all over the shop. Some feminine florals, mixed patterns, sport luxe inspired designs, sequins, houndstooth and a very mixed colour palette. It seriously looks like 2 people designed the collection?! It would have been better as 2 separate collections, saving some designs for the next winter collection and sticking to one colour palette direction.

Dolce & Gabanna support emerging designers
The Spiga 2 Dolce&Gabbana boutique is a launch platform for talented up and coming designers. For SS12, Dolce&Gabbana have selected an exciting collection of talented youngsters. One of the designer is Elisa Palomino.
She has worked for many designers. Her profile has been built in Moschino while her more eccentric qualities cultivated in Christian Dior where she collaborated with both the prĂȘt a porter and haute couture collections. After a stint at Roberto Cavalli and Dian Von Furstenberg, Elisa founded her own label in 2010 with her filmmaker husband, Tristan Von Christiann.
It is promising for the international fashion industry that established designers such as Dolce & Gabbana are supporting emerging designers in a retail space giving them help to make their creative designs into a potential financially viable career.
Here are some of Elisa Palomino's designs.

QVB celebrates Wool with international designers
When I was down in Sydney for fashion week and doing a little shopping in the Queen Victoria Building, I stumbled across these glass cabinets of pretty dresses and accessories. To my surprise that when I looked closer they were all made out of wool.
Wool Modern exhibition has collaborated with designers from around the world on celebrating wool as part of a broader global initiative, ‘Campaign for Wool'. The campaign's Patron, His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales, is a passionate advocator of manufacturers, retailers and designers choosing real wool and educating consumers on the environmental benefits.
QVB is proud to present Wool Modern – A Celebration of Wool in the 21st Century.
This free exhibition is set to break traditional perceptions of the wool fibre and create a new platform for wool in the 21st Century. It features custom designs from top international designers including Vivienne Westwood, Alexander McQueen, Charlotte Olympia and more plus local designers such as Camilla &Marc and Josh Goot.
When: From 3 May to 28 May 2012
Where: Level 1, QVB, Sydney
P.s KL's favourite is the Camilla & Marc dress. I would wear it in a heartbeat! Also love the Josh Goot rose print.
