Napoleon launches NEW Nude Bar Collection

 Napoleon Perdis  was instore at David Jones QueensPlaza on Friday 23rd March.
He hosted a Mastrerclass event for 60 fans who go to see first his new Nude Bar range and also learn the best make-up tips for applying makeup.

Napoleon Perdis unveiled the new Nude Bar - a range of nude shades for skin and lips. These products will be on sale at David Jones from 9th April.

My Favourite Tips from the Masterclass:

- White eyeliner to pop the eye- I've heard this before but the Napoleon Alabaster eyeliner really stands out and actually stays on the eye during wear

- Loved Napoleon calling contouring- "Couture Contouring"meaning you must custom contouring to you

- Contour the eye- contour from the end of brow up on temple all the way to hairline. If you're brunette you can meet hairline but if you have light hair stop before otherwise it will look funny.

- Biggest ONE-  When trying something new with your makeup, Keep makeup on for 12minutes to let yourself settle to see if you like a makeup look. This is enough time to know if you do like or you need to get that makeup off quick!

Style at every age

As women we have a fear of getting older. Personally, I do share this fear, I know it sounds vein but I have the fear that when I get old aside from the wrinkles, I have to tone down and simplify my style and what I wear. Watching these videos inspired me that with getting older, style does not fade but develops and who cares what people think, wear whatever the hell you feel like and you'll be so happy and fufilled!

Tziporah is an artist; her canvas is the human body; her paints are fabric and cloth; her brush is her eyes. And she does her art as a labor of love.

Ms. Salamon works as a stylist and teaches classes on how to dress in New York. She teaches at Parsons twice a year, Dressing As An Art Form and now has a one women show called "The Fabric Of My Life".

Scalan & Theordore this season is about sophitciated seductive luxurious garments.

I loved the leather laser cut detailing, the ostrich feather cape and jackets, the shimmery black fabrications and the statement colour for the season- deep teal.

My favourite looks were:

Balancing the decadence of Thurley’s Luxe garments, This season they have foucsed on  more contemporary lines and supple fabrics, refining a balance between casual apparel without forgetting their signature beading and embellishment.

This season it's all about double knits and wovens, fluid silks and jerseys mixed with shimmering boucles and subtle embellishments. Coloured denim, mohair and tweed create great layered silhouettes.

Thurley in their words are focusing this Autumn Winter on "paired down decoration" which I believe is easy to wear, practical and looks great!

Style Icon: Dita Von Teese @ LMFF

The stunning beauty, Dita Von Teese is one of my style icons. For her attention to detail, her impeccable grooming and her 1940's retro chic that takes me back to an era where I should have been born just for the fashion. I would love her wardrobe & her house!....even if it was just for one day.

Dita Von Teese graced the runway to launch her ever so feminine collaborative collection for Target, Von Follies at Loreal Melbourne Fashion Festival yesterday.

What I love most about the show it they used 30 models of all shapes and sizes to show the collection and I congratulate them, it is real women that are buying this underwear.

The show had the hints of the burlesque world with more risque accessories such as whips, leather and suspenders, the collection was still pretty, feminine and sexy.

What women doesn't want to feel sexy in her underwear??

The show featured an incredible array of vintage and vintage-inspired accessories, more than half of which were from Von Teese's personal wardrobe and collection. Hats, veils, eye masks, gloves, lace and sequinned capelets topped off the lingerie looks.

Available at Target nationally, ranging in price from $17 for briefs and up to the animal print chemise at $145, theres a little bit of 1940's pin up that every girl can afford.

Louis Vuitton Fall 12/13 collection

Louis Vuitton mesmerised the audience with a grand entrance, steam train rolling into the spotlight. The anticipation as the doors opened and the steam filling the air was exciting and made me a little anxious too. As the models stepped off the train and waltzed around the catwalk with porter in toe it was both mesmerizing and theatrical. My heart was pounding and I was only watching it on YouTube! I can't imagine the atmosphere inside the room. Congratulations Mr Jacobs on yet another adventure into your world.
