Oscars 2012- Hot or Not

BEST DRESSED

Milla Jovovich
Milla Jovovich wearing an Elie Saab Fall 2009 Couture gown on the red carpet. Milla’s white fully embellished one shoulder gown with an exaggerated shoulder was teamed with an Edie Parker clutch and Elie Saab platforms.

Rose Byrne = BEST SEQUIN

There was lots of embellishment and lots of full beaded and sequin gowns. Here, Rose Byrne keeps it modern and edgy in this Viviene Westwood one shoulder black sequin number. Rose stood out for all the right reasons!

Rooney Mara - Aka Lisbeth Salander in The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.

I am an absolute sucker for porcelain flawless skin, dark perfectly groomed hair with blunt block fringe and red lips.

The Oscar-nominated actress only picked her white Givenchy dress Sunday morning, proof that procrastination sometimes pays off, at least in fashion.  This gown incorporates architectial cuts however falls softly. Rooney captvated the red carpet with such feminine grace.

Emma Stone
Many critics said Emma Stone’s red Giambattista Valli dress looked too similar to the Balenciaga gown that Nicole Kidman wore to the Oscars in 2007. I personally love the raspberry lipstick pink gown, absolutely stunning. Emma ignore the critics but I would have liked to have seen a little more exciting accessories, Emma looked great but didn't quite get it to the wow.

AWARD for MOST FLATTERING Dress
This dress Octavia wore to the Oscars would look amazing on a size 6 - 16. This dress is cut so well to fall in the curves of a womens body and drapes over the bumps.

Octavia Spencer
Octovia is wearing japenese designer Todashi Shoji. I think she must be a downright fan as she also wore Todashi Shoji to the Golden Globes and SAG Awards.

THE WORST

Disappointment!
The spokesperson for Miss Dior Cherie perfume, Natalie Portman was expected to wear Dior to collect her Oscar statue last year, before John Galliano’s anti-Semitic remarks reportedly changed her decision. She picked Dior this year, but it was too little too late. Out of all she could have chosen from their beautiful collections this one is boring and drab for such a night like the Oscars. I think her stylist needs to be fired!

collection, why settle for this frumpy red, polka-dot ddrab drab for drShailene WoodleyShailene Woodley
Shailene Woodley

Dowdy and bland... for such a pretty girl with so many designers to choose from, this dress was her worst one.On the red carpet, The Descendants actress told Ryan Seacrest that this  Valentino dress was so her, but honey it makes you look BORING! Did she choose it with her eyes closed? and didn't check herself in the mirror before she left? Oh well Shailene hopefull you have better luck next year.

That's my wrap up of the Oscars fashion stakes for 2012, until next year, keep your eyes out for that WOW dress and save your breath to gasp or have your knives at the ready!
