I am quite a lover of street style snaps. They've been around for a while but ultra cool of late.
I think style is made on the streets with how people interpret the trends from the silhouettes designers create.
It's were the creativity really starts. The interesting combinations within an outfit, how the garments are mixed with the accessories. It comes even down to the hairstyle and makeup choice and if it matches and works with the look.
Harper's Bazaar showed an edit of 50 top street style looks from Paris SS2013 collection shows.
I've edited this to my top 10 looks (in no particular order I add) and also the near misses where they could have been perfect but just not quite there.
TOP TEN
Runners UP
Bag? A little small and not fully the right tone, but not a bad try. But the patterned grey suit is so super cute.
Suiting done in a tailored way to show the female form.
Not so sure about the shoes?!... but think a matching coloured shoe and clutch would have been cute.
NEAR MISSES
Super cute but the black jacket wrecks it. This tonal outfit worn with a nude, camel or cream jacket would have worked perfectly. Wearing this black jacket looks like it's been chucked on with no thought.
When you've gone to so much effort toning and colour coordinating the rest of the outfit, it seems silly to forget about the coat.
SUPER Amazing from the waist up but a little disappointing on the bottom with black.
Wearing a block coloured pant or skirt would have been fun. But even if wanting to stay safe, wearing a cream or nude skirt, shoes and sunnies would have worked gorgeously.
This outfit could have gone so many places but feel it stayed just a little too safe.
