Lilac toes and tips

I hae been obsessing over lilac nailpolish for the last month or so since I bought the Australis Peek-A-Boo Purple. I used it on the female model for the current winter campaign for Austrlian street sports brand FootLocker a month ago.
 I was then excited to see style icon Alexa Chung wearing it during A/W 11/12 Fashion Week.

Beauty in Milan

The contrast in colour from the turquoise shadow to the coral red lip really works. I mean normally beauty tips are either eye or lips as the statement and the other more subtle but this blows that train of thought.
I think I'll use this in a shoot coming up....

Whimsical

I love the whimsical softness of this photograph. I think a different take on a bridal image unlike most bridal magazines and advertising. Just enjoy the prettiness!

Collette Dinnigan AW 11 Paris

I always love Collette Dinnigan's touch of elegance and feminity. I love this season how she has adapted her lace to have other materials combined into the lace for example a metallic thread or a product that makes the lace look more waxy and slightly leather like. When I met Collectte Dinnigan in February for the David Jones Winter launch, she spoke of these new processes to have a different take on lace. Also you should check out her lingerie line also called Collette Dinnigan, beautiful intimates, intricate lace and feminine colours and cuts.

 This is my new favourite designer. ENJOY!

Skinny Minnie just ain't cool

I thought we were embracing fuller figured more like "real girls" to be seen on the catwalk. Looks like some designers have slipped back into bad habits. designers there's no excuses, make you're samples in size 10's and don't book girls who don't fit the dresses. It's the only way the fashion industry will start promoting healthy models by taking a stand and saying skinny girls just won't get booked!

DO you prefer pear-shaped or maybe Botticelli?

Beyonce the NEW Botticelli

Triumph underwear has dumped the established body shapes of apple, pear, hourglass, column, inverted triangle and has come up with new names that may sound a little sweeter. But is this just a marketing tool to gain free publicity, do you think this is better than the establish body shape names? Is this just a fade or will it catch on?

Jennifer Aniston the NEW Da Vinci

We all get worried when we hear someone say we're a pear-shape but what's really wrong with it. Yeah ok you've got a booty and womenly curves but you've most likely got delicate arms and small shoulders. Why can't women just embrace their body? it's about knowing what you are and making the most of it.

I with give cheers to Triumph for trying to make body shapes sound sweeter but are women really going to start saying "well I'm a Boticelli", "well I'm a Rembrandt"

The move comes after Triumph commissioned a survey that found women were not fond of having their curves likened to apples, pears or inanimate shapes.

Triumph sales and marketing manager Karen Ashley said women's bodies should instead be celebrated as artistic specimens.

Scarlett Johansson the NEW Rembrandt
Simplified:
Rembrandt = Hourglass
Botticelli = Pearshaped
Rubens = Apple
Da Vinci = Column
Raphael = Inverted Triangle or top heavy eg. Libby Tricket
Mattisse = Narrow shoulders and hips, you may have a wider midriff and carry some weight in your upper legs. Eg. Kate Winslet

Are we just going to resort these names to the same negative conatations as the fruit names as they are what we use to describe these artists?

Genius or just a great marketing tool?

Laquer Smacker

I have had the belief for a year now that nailpolish has some effect over your confidence. December, 2009 I started getting my nails done on fortnightly basis. I felt like I wanted to show off my hands to the world, so weird it made me feel girly and fancy! When styling for a photoshoot, it is the finishing touch to make the look polished. WHAT DO YOU THINK???

The colour I lusting for at the moment is: Chanel Black Pearl. This colour was featured in the Chanel Spring Summer show. This is a new colour to Chanel from their Spring Summer makeup collection.
