Zimmerman AW13 Collection

Zimmermann Autumn Winter 2013 delivers a soft and relaxed collection pairing whimsical dresses with boots and felt hats. The vibe almost bohemian in look and feel.

The collection features a grey washed floral rose print as well as laces, metallics, leather, knits and wool. Interestingly there's pops of colour of orange, Citruese and blue which is a little unexpected for Winter.

Key favourites are
- Dazed leather skirt in wine
- Rising Floral Panel dress
- Independent Mirror skirt
- Independent Stripe Dress
- Independent Long Coat
- Silk Trench in Onyx

KL's Accessories Edit
- Fold Over Clutch in Merlot
- Ankle Cross Pump in Merlot

Behind The Scenes of Jessica Tovey lookbook

I am often asked what happens at a shoot and people are often intrigued as to what goes on behind-the-scenes to get the final images.

Here's some behind the scenes pictures of the Jessica Tovey Autumn Winter look book shoot this week with final images up on the blog soon.

The creative team was photographer Daniel Sangermani, designer Jessica Tovey, makeup artist Lauren Chambers, hair stylist Isabella Townsing and beautiful Dally's model Ashliegh Hawthorne.

Paula Walden Curve Exhibition

Paula Walden is a true artist. Her imagination, creativity and soul is displayed within her designs which I feel is very evident in her new collection Curve. Curating her own retrospective exhibition at the Metro Arts Centre in Brisbane shows a journey of where the designer has developed and blossomed over her label's history.

Paula plans to move to Paris in June which is a loss for our sunshine state in terms of being home to such a creative talent however the opportunities and adventures Paris offers an artist must be explored.

In her new collection Curve, the designer explores the use of curves in design shapes. Incorporating a little clear perspex, the designs heavily focus on the use of gold and silver finely wired. Key favourites of the collection is a silver hand cuff and Perspex & metal necklace which the designer shared will have a second design of similar concept yet a lot bigger in size. This incite got Styled by KL and stylist Sara-Hatten Masterson very excited as we viewed the collection yesterday.

The Curve collection will be available from early 2014 so you will have to try and be patient. In the meantime though make sure to stock up on your favourite Bloom & Fleur necklaces as well as the gorgeous Geo Starlight earrings and Boater Hats as these styles will not be repeated.

Curve Exhibition on today Saturday 30th March
Metro Arts Centre, Brisbane City
10:30am - 5:30pm

Ellery Exclusive to David Jones

There will be a sour taste in some mouths in what is a interesting move, Ellery has signed exclusively to David Jones moving from department store stockist Myer who has stocked the label since 2010.

Since its beginning in 2007, Ellery is becoming one of the fastest growing Australian labels which is not just coveted here but also recognised around the world. Ellery's signature aesthetic of strong silhouettes and impeccable detailing has made it one of Australia's most loved labels. David Jones Group Executive-Merchandise, Donna Player, says, "We believe ELLERY is a brand our customers will respond exceptionally well to and we are excited to be able to offer it to them from the beginning of the Autumn/Winter 2013 season."

Ms Player continues, “ELLERY’s decision to join David Jones adds further currency to our strategy of offering the very best local and international brands."

TREND Alert: Tropical Swimwear

Seafolly is really loving the tropical Miami flavour that's so hot right now. The great thing is they have so many tropical style prints in this season that there's a colourway that's definitely going to suit your skintone and colourings. What I love about Seafolly is they have underwire and padding in their bikini tops and the styles are cut well to flatter the curves.

Trend Alert: Print On Print Swimwear

Rebecca Manning's swimwear is all about separates this season even though she does have the key one piece trend featured too. Print on Print is so one trend in apparel fashion that I wanted to translate into swimwear. See below my edit of possible print on print combos you can try from Rebecca Manning's new collection. For those not as daring to try print on print, why not try a printed bottom or top with a matching block colour piece. www.rebeccamanning.com
