Cate Blanchett wearing a not so flattering breast plate type dress on the red carpet for the 83rd Annual Academy Awards. The colour and detailing of the dress is stunning however the designer went wrong with the design- this will never be flattering no matter how stunning nor skinny you are. The back detail and beading and colour combination I am lusting after but a mono-boob, square shouldered, width broadening evening gown just shouldn't be worn!

This would have been my pick if the front had been alot more flattering.

Hot Trend: They anticipated Red as the trend colour for oscar dresses, of course they will always be red however this year it was PURPLE that was favoured. Year 12 girls looking for formal dresses maybe this year instead of typical red go for purple of any shade!
There were grape expectations on the 2011 Oscar red carpet. Several A-list actresses appeared in various shades of purple, ranging from lavender to deep plum.
