She is inspired by art and mother nature and displays this in her jewellery designs.

Eyes of Laura Mars

Napoleon says its an emphasis on cheekbones with contouring and a boudoir lip.

David Jones AW 12 Launch!

David Jones AW 12 Launch...
Completely loved being in the room with so many talented designers, fashion editors and celebrities. Was such a blast!

Makeup by Napoleon - my favourite look- the dark lip with flawless skin. Also loved Napoleon saying Australian women's true makeup look is what he calls "Pop on a Lippie". Totally agree Mr Perdis, as we do feel spesh when we pop on a fantastic lippie. On DJs launch night I wore Calypso by Napoleon.

Hair by Aveda , two looks I loved; the bouncy sexy curls placed to one side and covering the face and the 1920's inspired slicked ponytail.

Fantastic AW12 launch David Jones !

UGLY GUCCI

Bring on the bogan rich girls who are guna buy this ugly Gucci limited edition bag.
As seen in January 2012 edition of Madison Magazine

It's really a worrying realisation if this is what the world views as Australian style. I seriously have no idea who is going to buy this bag. After posting this image on my facebook page, I had alot of girls say how ugly it was. Sorry Gucci you've definitely got the Aussie girl all figured out WRONG!
You're only customer that may buy this bag is the fake orange tanned girl, with fake hair extension, fake boobs, fake lips, fake nails, who is obsessed with appearance and stupid enough to buy this bag purely because its designer not because it is stylish.
Come on Gucci, are you serious?
Let's hope not all the international designers view Australians as this otherwise our fashion future is a very depressing tacky future.

When I saw this it made me think....

When I saw this image posted on a facebook feed, it really made me stop and think.

I feel people get caught up in trying to be what they're not, trying to dress like who they are inspired by, dressing like a celebrity, getting caught up in the "designer", getting carried away.
Fashion is about expressing your personal style but also your inner self. Wearing fashion for fashion's sake is pointless. Wearing fashion should extend your personality and express the person people see standing in front of them. It is not always worth following the trends, emulating what is on the catwalk if it is not the person you truly are. People can tell you are not comfortable in what you are wearing if you are wearing items that aren't really "you".

I always tell women when I am doing personal styling consults that it is better just amping up a little, the person you are and what you feel comfortable wearing instead of trying to be something else which is not you and you will feel uncomfortable in and more importantly will buy and will not wear!

Fashion is about self expression so therefore embrace the person you are and let the world see YOU, the you that is the true you not a front of makeup and elaborate clothes with you trying to be someone you are not. Whether you're the bohemian boho chic, the girly girl, the laid-back casual, the polished sophisticated, the loud & out-there, the goth, the beach babe, the corporate.
Whoever you are, be true to your own sense of self and you will truly shine!

Sending my love across the world,
xxKL

Fashion Week: Street Style

Here are my favourite street style looks from recent fashion weeks in New York, London and Paris

Anna Pluckett, Designer of Romance was Born.
London Fashion Week

Wearing :
Romance was Born jacket
Mark Fashion dress
Chanel bag

Always love Anna's combination and clash of different ideas. Definitely a lover of her style!

Chen Run, Actress.
Paris Fashion Week
Photographer: Candice Lake

Chen Run, looks simple and sophiticated in this little number. Love the black and white combo. Love the idea of a pop colour clutch however think it would have been better a little bigger and more statement.

Photographer: Candice Lake

Always love my summer leather. I think Taylor did well to pair it back with minimal accessories and keeping the dress and good statement shoes the key to outfit instead of getting too heavy for day wear with accessories.

Olivia Palemo
New York Fashion Week

Olivia even though a bitch to some, I always love her style.
In this outfit the winner is the sheer silk pleated large ruffle detail neckline.
